2017-08-29 Live at BAKKEN, Denmark
The Spotnicks gjorde stor succé på Dyrehavsbakken – ”Bakken” – den 29 augusti.
Bakken, som är belägen i Klampenborg strax utanför Köpenhamn, anses vara Världens äldsta nöjespark och här gjorde alltså The Spotnicks en mycket väl genomförd spelning inför en fulltalig publik. Det var smockfullt framför scenen och det var tydligt att man uppskattade det man såg och hörde.
Det här var The Spotnicks första spelning under 2017. Den senast föregående ägde också rum i Danmark för nästan precis ett år sedan, nämligen i Ikast den 2 september 2016.
Nu uppträdde man i ett evenemang som kallas ”Tirsdags-Pigtråd” (Tisdags-Taggtråd) tillsammans med två danska band med rötterna i 60-talet – Lollipops och The Dreamers. Det var dock ingen tvekan om vilken orkester som var huvudattraktionen för kvällen.
Alla medlemmar verkade nöjda med sina insatser – även Bo Winberg – som kvällen till ära hade på sig den guldslips som han fick i utmärkelse i ett TV-program från Göteborg 1983 för sina insatser och framgångar.
Nöjd men trött efteråt. Inte undra på; karl’n är inne på sitt 79:e år och genomför ändå spelningen med bravur!

The Spotnicks made great success at Dyrehavsbakken – ”Bakken” – on August 29th.
Bakken is located in Klampenborg just outside Copenhagen and is considered to be the World’s oldest amusement park, and here The Spotnicks made a very well-performed show for a crowded audience. It was clear that everyone appreciated what they saw and heard.
This was The Spotnicks first show in 2017. The last one also took Place in Denmark almost a year ago, namely in Ikast on September 2, 2016.
Now, on an event called ”Tirsdags-Pigtråd” (Tuesday-Barbed Wire), they performed together with two Danish bands which have their roots in the 60’s – Lollipops and The Dreamers. However, there was no doubt about which orchestra was the main attraction for the evening.
All members seemed pleased with their efforts – also Bo Winberg – as the evening of honor was wearing the Golden Tie he received in award in a TV show from Gothenburg in 1983 for his efforts and successes.
Happy but tired afterwards. No wonder; the man is in his 79th year and still performs with bravur!

Det hela avslutades med att alla medverkande musiker tillsammans framförde Rock’n Roll Music.
It all ended with all participating musicians performed Rock’n Roll Music together.
It was a wonderfull concert you did on Bakken. We were 6 friends in the audience, all between 65-70 so we grew up with the music in the 60´s.
We all want to give you a big thank you for still playing and performing live after so many years.
It means a lot for us who grew up then, that ”our” music is still so much alive.
To bring in the young man on guitar just makes it even more alive. I play guitar myself, and he is really a great guitarist, and the way he falls in in the tunes adds a lot to the music, it sounded really great.
Bo is still our great guitar-hero in the Spotnicks, and his Amapola version is second to none. We love that tune.
And Bob singing Midnight special is one of my favourits.
So thank you guys, and hope to see you soon in Denmark again.
I have only watched the video’s recorded at Dyrehavsbakken, but I must say I think it is a shame how the second guitarist again and again stole the picture and performed his own show! Yes, he is a brilliant guitarist but after all it is BO WINBERG’s Group! Especially in the last tune Orange Blossom Special Bo is completely left alone in his corner and can only watch how good the guitarist is! I think it is a shame that we had to watch this and so embarrassing for Bo! MAYBE it is time to stop live concerts when everybody else in the band steals the picture – it was SO SAD to watch our guitar-hero only standing and watching like a boxer who lost the match!
As long as no one is entering the stage against their own will, nothing is embarrassing.
The lads must have agreed – in unity – to play the concerts like they do, facing the fact, that one of them is now 78 years young.
If anyone feels that is embarrassing, they are free to stay away from the gigs, as well as watching the video’s.
Just my two cents.
None of the attendants at ’BAKKEN’ could be doubtfull about, which one of the three bands possessed the absolutely highest musical potential!
